The Body
Lessons
We do not begin to do our best until the body is focused and unified. But the body cannot be focused without the mind being focused. It is not by thinking about the body we control the body; it is rather by thinking about higher things and relating them to the body. Body and mind are both unified by this means and we gain poise. When shall we practice poise? Always. When we are in a crowd and when alone. We must always maintain a sense of sanctity and serenity.

Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Recreation is an important human activity. The "need to do something for recreation" is an essential element of human biology and psychology. Recreational activities are often done for enjoyment, amusement, pleasure, and fun.
Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!
Matthew 26:41
